Birthday & Barkday

Today is my papa birthday! To say it in doggie age, papa is 385 years old this year! Wow! That is like... Geez, I have lost count. Anyway, Happy birthday dear papa! I hope you will be less stern with me and give me more treats! *Giggle*

I am so excited! My barkday is coming on this Sunday, and and, WooHoo! There is going to be a dog show especially for me at Singapore Expo! Ok ok, I exaggerated. It is not for me, but the SKC 160th & 161st Championship Dog Shows fall on this Sunday too. Sista and Kor is bringing me there, as usual. I hope they will get me lots and loads of treats and toys from the stalls at the show. *Grinz*

It's Pawty Time

It is today! Today is the day! I am waiting anxiously for Aire Ruby to fetch me to the pawty up at Salem!

I have to do a checklist before Ruby's plane arrives. Witch hat - checked, dress - checked, boots - checked, wand - checked, oh and most importantly, treat pouch - checked!

Halloween Tag & Ready to Party!

Hi my dear friends! How's everyone? I miss all of you so much! Sista has been busy for the past week and as much as I want to, she just can't find enough time to help me update or visit blogs. *Pouts*

So finally, sista got me a real Halloween costume! I was so happy till I found out I can't fit in it at all! No matter how Kor and sista tried to squeeze me in, I just can't. Nope, I am sure I did not put on weight, well, maybe just a little. *Giggle* To my relieve, sista explained that the costume was meant for teddy bear! Gosh. The costumes come in one standard size and she thought I could fit in nicely. *More pouts*

Hi my dear friends, I enjoyed myself yesterday celebrating Mid-Autumn Festival with my hoomans. *Grinz*

As mentioned on my previous post, I'll show the pics my hoomans took at the Mid-Autumn Festival at Chinese Garden. Every year, the organiser will come out with different themes and this year theme is 'The Magical Ocean'.

Mid-Autumn Festival

Today is the Mid-Autumn Festival aka Mooncake Festival aka Lantern Festival for the chinese. The hoomans, usually kids, will carry lanterns while the adults gather around to eat mooncakes and enjoy the bright full moon. Last year, sista bought green tea mooncakes especially for doggies, but, I was being picky and refused to eat it after one piece. She said I wasted her money so this year, no doggie mooncakes for me. Instead, I got to share my hoomans' yogurt and durian mooncakes and they tasted soo good! Sorrie no pics for this year mooncakes. Sista was too busy eating and feeding me to take pics. *Giggle*

After this piece, I was like, ok I had enough. It was too sweet for my liking. Burp! So my hoomans had to finish the rest for me and they all agreed that it was too sweet.

Last year, I got a battery-operated lantern, later tonight, I'm going to carry the same lantern. Actually, I know it is a conspiracy of sista. Well, she knows she's too old to play with lantern so she's using me as a cover up . *Giggle* Oh and sista went to the Chinese Garden to see those beautiful themed lanterns. This year theme is 'Magical Ocean'. I'll show you the pics on my next post. =D

Cowboy Pawty

Today is the day for Asta's (Up Over) Barkday! Happy Barkday girlie! Asta with her friend, Bailey of Tripple Bs, invite all of us to join in their celebration, what's more, it's going to be a Cowboy Pawty! Yee Haa!

Chilli's Pawty

Hi everyone! I'm bacckk! I have to, especially today, because it is Chilli gal adoption day and she's holding a beach pawty! I won't miss it ever! *Grinz*

Sorrie for the lack of updates my dear friends. I can't get sista off her school schedule except for my occasional walks. Thank doG she's going to have her short break soon, I'll make sure she gets her butt down and give me 100% attention. Tee hee.

My First Day

Lil' Reina tagged me to share about my first day with my hoomans.

A brief history: Sista wanted a silky terrier pup for a very long time. Why Silky? Well, sista used to have this very old poster of SPCA which featured the face of a crossed breed pup. She lurves that look of the pup and she concluded that that pup has the closest look to a silky terrier. I'm glad she thought so else there will be no me now.

The fateful day: On 6th January 2006, my Shaney called Kor to inform him that one of the pet shops she used to work in brought in 3 silky pups, so she asked sista and Kor to go down to have a look. Knowing that all 3 pups were female, they thought that they would just go take a look. *They were actually thinking of getting a male pup.*

The shop owner brought my siblings and me out of our cages and put us in a playpen. We were whining and fighting for my hoomans' attention. Well, as you all know, my hoomans changed their mind and decided to get one of us instead. They observed my siblings and me while we wrestled and nipped each other. Finally, I got tired of playing and decided to sit at a corner and ignoring my siblings even when they pounced on me. Sista carried me out when she saw that and I gave her a very innocent look. She asked whether I wanna go home with her and the rest is history. *Grinz*

The first day home was chaotic. I started biting my hoomans' toes once I'm free to run about. Wished you all could see those funny scenes where they either ran or jumped up on seats so I couldn't reach their toes. Hahaha. Of cos, this ended me in jail very soon. That night, the rest of my hoomans came home, needless to say, it was lurve at first sight for them. I spent my first night in the pitched dark kitchen. I was a very brave pup, I slept through soundly with very little occasional whines.

I was a very black pup, it's hard to capture my face, especially with lousy camera phone. Hehe.

How a Chick is Hatched

Once the lil' chick is ready to be hatched, it'll use its beak to break open the egg shell. When the opening is big enough, the lil' chick will then use its head to push its way out.

Step 1: See, head out first.


Step 2: Basic instinct- Check the surrounding first before totally leaving the egg shell.


Nope, no signs of danger.


Step 3: Alright, safe to come out now. Now, it'll use its whole body force to push its way out.

Sweet Sparky

Yesterday, Papa came home with a mail for me! It's from Sparky, all the way from Canada! He sent me a Thank You card for his barkday pressie *He is sooo sweet*. What's more, he also included 3 of his charming pics! That made me really excited. Thank you Sparky for your lovely pics, my hoomans can't get their eyes off you after I shown it to them! *Grinz*

My Weekend

Hi everyone! Had a great weekend? Mine was fabulous, except for that lil' rascal who traumatised me completely. Warning: Long and wordy post below. Sorrie for the lack of pics, sista forgot to charge her lousy camera phone. =P

On Friday evening, the hoomans brought Baby, Casper and me to a dog run. I had fun running offleash! Yeah, that was till I had to constantly run away from a land shark aka Casper. He chased me round and round everytime he saw me. When he gets to me, he'll start his bitey face attacks. Not fair! I don't see him doing that to Baby instead. I was fed up but being a nice girl, I tried my very best to keep my cool and not bark my head off at him. And to reward me, Sista and Kor bought a new toy and treats for me at the mega pet store! Weee! Then we proceed to Pawtobello Cafe for our din din. I was so looking forward to it cos the last time I was there *DWB's nd pawty*, I didn't get to eat any. Sista ordered lamb meal for me, it was sooo good I slurp it all up within 1 minute! Oh, I got to share a little of sista's rosemary chicken too. *Grinz*

On Saturday early morning, sista woke me up to say we're going to the beach. Wow, that perked me up immediately. I waited anxiously for my hoomans to get prepared. Big sista was going too and she was just as anxious. She can't wait to see me swim after sista showed her the video of our beach outing the previous time. This time, besides Baby, Casper went too, in addition, we had a new friend with us. He is Frosty and is also a Maltese like the both of them. Wow, 3 Maltese boys and one Silky girl. I felt special! Off we started out to the beach at Sentosa. The hoomans wanted to go Tanjiong beach, lost their way and ended up at Silosa beach instead. They then decided to walk over to Palawan beach cos Silosa was having some company's family day event. In the end Palawan beach had the same event of another company and so they decided to try driving over to Tanjiong beach which is at another end of Sentosa.

When we finally reached, we found out that Tanjiong beach was having the same event too! We were all so tired after much walking and burnt from the sun so the hoomans found a small peaceful area for us doggies to swim without disturbance from the noisy event. Finally we were able to cool ourselves in the water. The hoomans were going 'oh so cute' for Casper and Frosty since it was their first time swimming. As for me, I was just glad that I could get away from Casper as he wasn't allowed to swim far. Ah, peace at last. After swim, Baby and Casper went over my house for homemade pasta with chicken lunch.

At night, the hoomans went out for din din themselves cos we were all dog-tired from the swim. Sista and Kor came back home with a new tent for me.

On Sunday, the hoomans brought Casper and I to the SKC Dog Show held at Expo hall. I smell food the moment I reached there.

Mmmm~ Food food, where are you?


Casper: "What food, Precious? I can only smell hoomans." What a silly boy.


This time round, the event was bigger than the previous because it was combined with Asia Kennel's competition. More stalls too, much to the delight of the hoomans. Hee. Despite many doggies were there, Casper still tried to stick to me and bite me. Grrr. Other times when he wasn't biting, he was barking and whining at other doggies of all size. Man, doesn't he knows that he's still a little pup and one step of the big doggies' paw could turn him into doggies' pancake? Geez. Anyway, the hoomans were busy shopping around and dragging him away before that really happens. That also explained why I don't have any pics to show. *Giggle* Anyway, sista and Kor bought new clothes ad toys for me and a very big packet of kibbles. Eucks for the kibbles.

In the car back home... Kor, where's Casper going with his hooman? Kor: "They're going home, Precious. It won't be soon till you see Casper again. Will you miss him?"
